Clint Christian is an award-winning contemporary New Zealand artist known for creating distinctive modernist works that are both bold and deeply relatable.

Working across a range of styles, themes, and mediums, Clint’s art reflects his personality and creative drive to spark happiness, curiosity, and a sense of nostalgia. His portfolio includes large-scale canvas paintings and wood panel resin pieces, with some works extending into sculptural forms.

Before becoming a full-time artist, Clint worked as an architectural designer—an influence that remains evident in his strong graphic approach. Composition, colour, and contrast play a central role in defining his visual language.

Clint rose to prominence with his animal pop portrait series Animal Instinct in 2020–2021. In 2022, he received the People’s Choice Award at the Auckland Art Show for his piece The BFF. He has since exhibited his work at major art shows across New Zealand and Australia, expanding his audience and establishing a strong presence in the contemporary art scene.

More recently, he has introduced Retrovision, a collection inspired by the nostalgic energy and cultural influences of the 1970s and 1980s.
